Science Projects

Grades 3-5 have been studying how the Earth, sun, and moon interact with each other.  We started our unit by exploring many different books from our classroom and library that were about the Earth, sun, and moon.  Students took notes on areas of interest to them.  Then, they used their notes and areas of interests to form groups.  After that, the groups spent three weeks researching their topic. Once they had all of their information, they created a slideshow and model to share with the class. Finally, students presented their projects to our classroom and the students in the K-2 room.

Read Across America Pictures

We had a great time celebrating Dr. Seuss's Birthday.  In addition to our dress up days, we had the older kids partner up with a younger student to read Dr. Seuss books.  We also had Mr. Smasal come in to read to the kids.
